SamLami Homes is a 10-bed transitional housing program on the South Side of Chicago, dedicated to supporting men as they reintegrate into society after incarceration. We believe that with the right structure, guidance and opportunities, every person can rebuild their life.

Reach out through our contact form, by phone or through a referral partner such as a correctional facility, parole officer or social worker. Our intake team responds within 48 hours to discuss your situation and answer any questions.

Application & Assessment
Complete a short application covering your background, goals and support needs. Our team reviews every application individually to assess eligibility, readiness and fit with the SamLami Homes community.

- Motivation and commitment are what matter most
Orientation & Move-In
Accepted residents receive a full orientation covering house rules, daily routines, expectations and the resources available to them. You will be assigned a bed in our 10-bed home on the South Side of Chicago and introduced to your housemates.

- 24/7 accountability with structured daily routines
- Immediate access to case management support
Programme & Growth
Once settled, you will participate in our core programmes: life skills training, employment readiness, counselling and community reintegration. Each resident works with a case manager to set personal goals and track progress toward independent living.
- Job search support, resume building and interview prep
- Financial literacy and personal development workshops
- One-on-one mentorship and group support sessions
